Ending 22 with a blast: What's all the fuss about Backstage.io?

Details
Here it is, our last event this year. And oh my, what a year it has been. After the whole Covid mess we successfully restarted this meetup series. You did not forget and joined us in this. Now let's have something special for the last event 2022. We sided with VMware and not only do they sponsor a great location with Beer and Burgers afterwards, we also have the hottest topic of all: backstage.
As always, this is the on-site event. To register for the live-stream, go to: https://community.cncf.io/e/mj69jh/

So let’s explore what Backstage actually solves and why it gained so much traction as a CNCF incubating project around Application Definition & Image Build.
Originally a project that originated at Spotify and was donated to CNCF, Backstage has quickly gained momentum and already has 211 adopters.
Backstage claims that you can build one central place for your engineering organization’s tools, resources, and documentation. From CI/CD status to Kubernetes monitoring, to API and library docs, to deciphering your monorepos, and everything in-between. Basically, everything your developers need outside their repo and IDE.
We want to demonstrate the benefits of Backstage as part of an end-to-end platform. As we strongly believe it has come to stay.
