When architecting workloads for the cloud we want to ensure that they are reliable, secure, efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable. The AWS Well-Architected Framework was designed to help you understand the pros and cons of decisions you make while building systems on AWS, which means that you can be confident that they meet your objectives and adhere to AWS best practices.

The Well-Architected Framework is organised in the 6 pillars of operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization and sustainability. These provide a comprehensive coverage of design and operational aspects which will help you produce stable and efficient systems.

In this talk, Johann will give an overview of the framework and the benefits of applying it.

To make the concepts more tangible he will cover concrete architectural examples, including demos, that are relevant for containerised workloads and that highlight the operational excellence, reliability, and sustainability pillars.

Finally, Johann will give you a few tips that can help you to successfully adopt the Well-Architected Framework in your organisation.
