Harnessing Operators Power && How We Made Backstage Improve Developer Efficiency

Details
Hi everyone,
the double digits of this meetup's date are there for a reason, because we are announcing two talks at once:
1. Scaling Observability: Harnessing the Power of Operators in Kubernetes
AND
2. How We Made Backstage Improve Developer Efficiency of 1000+ Engineers
This is the on-premises event. For the online event, please visit: https://community.cncf.io/j/pfm2xx6jky2rp/
Scaling Observability: Harnessing the Power of Operators in Kubernetes
If you want to know what’s possible with Operators and learn about the challenges during development, don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Dynatrace’s real-world experiences. Learn how utilizing the Operator concept changed our way of managing a component’s lifecycle.
Speaker: Christoph Müllner – Senior Software Engineer & Product Owner, Dynatrace
How We Made Backstage Improve Developer Efficiency of 1000+ Engineers
Increasing Developer Efficiency was one of the key reasons why we looked into Backstage as our new entry point for all 1000+ globally distributed engineers at Dynatrace. Whether its creating new services or getting information about those components they are responsible for: Backstage is the default developer portal! In this session Bernd and Wolfgang, who have been rolling out Backstage, will share lessons learned during the PoC (Proof of Concept), the rollout and the onboarding of Backstage. They also go into details about ensuring that Backstage works efficiently and reliable, how they auto-detect misconfiguration and how they measure the success of Backstage adoption using common observability techniques.
Speaker: Wolfgang Gottesheim – Senior Product Manager, Dynatrace
