Startup engineering is different. With lower product maturity, fewer resources, and less certainty about the future, startups have a whole bunch of constraints that must be taken into account when designing the product’s architecture and engineering procedures. Simply sticking to the latest engineering trends - will not necessarily be ideal for startups, and might put them in real danger of running out of business.
In this talk, we’re going to kill some holy cows, and discuss the dirty details of implementing some of the industry’s most popular trends - such as Microservices, Continuous Deployment & TDD (Test Driven Development). We’ll also share some of our journey at Hysolate towards a flexible, agile cloud architecture, including some tips and best practices for implementing a scalable product in 2021.

Alon Kollmann - Hysolate (Head of Cloud Engineering)
Alon is the Head of Cloud Engineering at Hysolate, bringing more than a decade of experience in software engineering, IT, and cyber security. Prior to Hysolate, Alon worked at companies such as Google and Microsoft, where he worked on large-scale SaaS products. He began his career in the C4I corps of the IDF and holds a B.Sc in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from Tel-Aviv University.
