What it means to be a Platform Engineer (and some concepts about Platform Engineering) (Giulio Roggero, Mia-Platform)
What does it mean to be a Platform Engineer? What are the challenges? What value does it bring to the organisation? In this talk, we will look at the different abstraction levels of a Digital Platform and how a Team of Platform Engineers simplifies the Developer Experience of a Cross Functional team from the perspective of infrastructure, application, API Product, Data Product and building B2B and B2C applications. There will be no shortage of practical examples and success stories.

Kubernetes, Prometheus and Monitoring in Multi-tenant environments (Saeid Bostandoust, CBRE)
Running Kubernetes in multi-tenant environments is so challenging and providing a monitoring system to tenants is more challenging! Imagine we deploy Prometheus stack and users need to check their pods metrics, but they shouldn't see other tenants metrics! It's one of most challengeable concerns to run Kubernetes in a real multi-tenant way. In this case study, I will explain how we solve this and provide our customer a multi-tenant Prometheus stack at scale for more than 2000 teams, projects, etc... with a live demo.

Saeid is a veteran software engineer with more than 18 years of experience in software development and a DevOps engineer with about 10 years of experience. He is always looking for new and complex challenges in the DevOps sector. Saeid is a Linux guy, an Open-source lover and a DevOps instructor. https://www.linkedin.com/in/ssbostan

Infusing Telco Networks with Cloud Native Technologies (Richard Kilmurray, Vodafone)
How is cloud-native software changing telco networks? Suites of technologies, centred on Kubernetes, are combining with the existing networking infrastructure to realise advanced services and new ways of operating national and international networks. I’ll sketch out how this shift to orchestrated networking workloads creates operational challenges, which can be met by adapting Observability and Continuous Testing & Deployment tools to telco scenarios.
