From Zero to Observable (Tulayb Mahmood, Grafana Labs)
In this session, we'll be hearing about the latest & greatest from one of the world's most popular open-source analytics & monitoring platforms. Weaving together metrics, logs & traces from multiple data sources is only just the beginning in Grafana's journey to become a force in observability.
Tulayb works as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Grafana Labs, where he leads technical engagement with Grafana users - from architecting solutions built on the Grafana Stack to frequently presenting at meetups, conferences and webinars. He has a background in observability & cloud infrastructure.
Cloud-Native Chronicles: Lessons Learned from Building Cerbos in the Open (Alex Olivier, Cerbos)
What does it actually mean in practice to be Cloud Native? Having spent the last 2 years building the open-source authorization layer Cerbos, we will cover the key software ingredients that contribute to a successful cloud-native project. Hear some of the hard-learned lessons, and the most sought-after aspects when venturing into your own cloud-native endeavours.
@alexolivier Alex is the Product Lead at Cerbos solving the never-ending headache of authorization for companies large and small. Having worn the hats of Developer, Consultant, Tech Lead and Product Manager he has a wide view of business needs from startups through to enterprise having worked with some of the largest brands in the world across a variety of industries. He has spoken often as an SME on Data and Infrastructure topics at CollisionConf, Google Cloud NEXT, CogX, AI Congress amongst many others.
Future of Open-Source AI Infrastructure (Ash Vardanian, Unum Cloud)
In a world filled with acronyms like ELK, MERN, LAMP, and SMACK, each representing a unique combination of Open Source frameworks, the question arises - which of these are best suited for AI applications? This talk delves into the interplay between these popular technology stacks, Large Language Models (LLMs), and other AI-based systems. We will explore their strengths, limitations, and critical aspects that every developer, data scientist, or IT professional should know. Additionally, we'll investigate how various databases and the broader infrastructure landscape adapt to this new wave of technological advancements. From new frameworks to crucial tools, we'll discuss what you need to know to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.
Ash Vardanian, founder of Unum Cloud, is a seasoned computer science expert and deep-tech investor with a rich software development and Astrophysics background. With extensive expertise in C++, CUDA, Python, and Assembly on x86/ARM platforms, he has significantly contributed to the field of cloud computing. @ashvardanian on Twitter and other platforms.
