Create more dynamic NPC experiences with generative AI (Tolis Christomanos, AWS)
Game developers are looking for more dynamic ways to engage with players and enhance player experiences. This demo shows Ada, an in-game, non-player character (NPC) created using the MetaHuman framework in Unreal Engine 5 and Amazon Bedrock, a toolset for building generative AI applications. The demo illustrates how the technology can make NPCs more dynamic and intelligent to enhance the player experience.

Tolis is a Solutions Architect at AWS for Games, where he guides gaming companies on building, running, and growing their games on AWS. He has more than 20 years of experience architecting and developing end-to-end applications and games, working across all levels in an organization from the C-suite to the developer.

How to build a Conversational DevX interface using RAG (Michel Murabito, Mia-Platform)
We will explore how integrating AI into Developer Experience (DevX) is driving Conversational AI, simplifying access to documentation, and automating complex tasks to enhance developer productivity. By leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in a cloud-native context, we will examine the architecture and technologies behind these solutions. A real-world example will highlight the practical benefits and challenges of building a modern and scalable DevX.

I’m Michel Murabito, a Developer Advocate at Mia-Platform and a CNCF Ambassador based in Milan. My journey into software development began when I was 12, driven by a deep curiosity for technology. At 18, I started my professional career as a Software Developer working on numerous projects for companies and startups. Since 2015 I’ve been dedicated to Developer Relations, starting in a multinational company and now at Mia-Platform. My mission is to support and inspire developers by sharing knowledge and experiences. I’ve spoken at numerous events in Italy and internationally covering topics such as Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, Cloud Native, and Sustainability. I’m also active in the tech community through my YouTube channel and a community of over 800 members. My motto, “Never Hesitate,” reflects my approach to life and work, with the aim of making a positive impact in the digital world.
