How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Service Mesh (Louis Ryan, Solo.io)
Ambient Mesh will change how you think about service meshes. This talk will explore this major architectural shift and how it can solve some of the big scale, performance and security challenges you face with your application and service connectivity in the diverse networks of modern enterprises.
Louis is co-creator of Istio and gRPC, CTO at Solo.io. Find him at https://www.linkedin.com/in/louiscryan/
Jenkins at 20: Scaling CI/CD pipelines in the Cloud-Native Era with EKS Blueprints (Carlos Rodriguez Lopez, CloudBees)
Jenkins has reached a remarkable milestone: 20 years as the engine behind open-source CI/CD workflows. While it wasn’t originally designed as a cloud-native application, the dedication of its users, contributors, and sponsors has transformed it into a cloud-friendly platform. Today, Jenkins efficiently orchestrates Kubernetes resources and integrates seamlessly with several CNCF ecosystem projects.
In this session, we’ll explore the Jenkins at Scale EKS Blueprint by CloudBees, which showcases these modern capabilities through the lens of Infrastructure and Configuration as Code. Join us to discover how Jenkins continues to evolve, empowering teams to scale their CI/CD pipelines in the cloud-native world. I am a Consultant specializing in DevSecOps and Cloud Computing, with a focus on helping customers succeed in their product adoption journey. Currently, I work at CloudBees, a leader in enterprise-grade CI/CD solutions, where I transitioned from Support to Services. In my role, I co-lead internal projects such as Architecture Blueprints and Cloud Footprint Optimization while managing client engagements.
In addition to my work at CloudBees, I co-organize Cloud Native Sevilla, a local CNCF chapter promoting cloud-native technologies.
My previous experience includes roles as a Java Web Developer and GIS DBA and Developer, contributing to projects across different sectors like urban planning, telecom, and energy.
