Next Gen GitOps

Abstract

In this talk, Akuity engineer Kent Rancourt will take the audience on a virtual journey of GitOps discovery to understand where we've been, where we are, and where we're headed. We'll start with a brief look at life before Cloud Native and GitOps before delving into some GitOps principles and how they're implemented by Argo CD. We'll wrap by looking toward the future with a preview of a new open source tool called Kargo that aims to usher GitOps into a new era.

Speaker Bio

Kent Rancourt is a Connecticut-based founding engineer at Akuity with a passion for automation and, more generally, building the very tools that he wishes some younger version of himself would have had access to. When he's not doing that, he enjoys martial arts, hiking, reading, video games, crossword puzzles, and Lego -- and sharing many of these activities with his two small kids.
