We also have some exciting announcements for the future of the networking event and the our community!
And, of course, Food. Drinks. K8s. Good Conversation.
Speaker No.1 already booked:
### Talk 1 @ 6.30pm: First Steps to Full Lifecycle Security with Open Source Tools with Anais Urlichs - Aqua Security
A key element of successfully integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle is embedding it right from the start. Helping developers and operators build security controls in from day-one with easy to use open source tooling can make that a reality. This session, we will take a hands-on approach to demonstrate how to install, configure and customize open source security tools. Firstly, understanding how Trivy, an all-in-one, cloud native security scanner can be used to help secure container images, Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests and IaC such as Terraform. Then, we will move on to operationalizing security controls through Kubernetes operator, providing continuous security assurance of workloads and Kubernetes clusters.
Anaïs is a Developer Advocate at Aqua Security, where she contributes to Aqua’s cloud native open source projects. Before joining Aqua, Anais worked as SRE at Civo, a cloud native service provider, where she contributed to the infrastructure for hundreds of tenant clusters. Besides creating engineering tutorials on her own YouTube channel, she is also a maintainer of K8sGPT.
### Talk 2 @ 7.15pm: Platform Engineering and AI with Ivan Pedrazas - Docker
Exploring the fundamentals of AI and how it impacts our lives as Platform Engineers. From LLMs to embeddings, and even diving into the intriguing realm of training your own (Dragon) model, we'll decode the essentials together.
Ivan is a Principal Engineer at Docker, specilaising in Kubernetes Architecture. More Dev than Ops - Kubernetes London Meetup co-organiser. ADHD, community, mentorship and cake advocate (not in that order).
### Talk 3 @ 8.00pm: GCP Vertex AI and Gen AI overview with Syed Ali Gardezi - Google
There has recently been a proliferation of Large Language Models. This session, will provide invaluable insights into the capabilities of Vertex AI and shed light on Large Language Models.
Currently working at Google as a Customer Engineer and Architect, but also both Amazon and LSEG alumni, Syed brings a wealth of experience to the meetup. Don't miss out on this opportunity to stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of AI and cloud computing.
