TALK No.1: From Rockstars to Roadies: Building Depth in Teams for Sustainable Success with Shane Harger of Armakuni

Let's talk about the mythical rockstar engineer and the importance of building depth within teams, emphasising collaboration and knowledge sharing over individual brilliance. Learn strategies for cultivating a culture of continuous learning and collective excellence, essential for sustainable success.

Shane is a Lead Consulting Engineer with 20 years of experience. Working in a diverse range of consultancy, engineering, and management roles, she has provided technical leadership, system designs, and implementation for a range of industry-leading companies. Shane is an engaged member of the DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) community, where she contributes to discussions on cutting-edge research and strategies for building high-performing teams.

TALK No.2: From Monolith to Cloud: Optimising you solutions with Ricardo Moreira of Vodafone

With over a decade at telecom giant Vodafone, Ricardo's journey spans from software development to leading its DevOps function. An experienced DevOps leader and established keynote speaker at industry events such as Cloud Expo Europe and DevOps Live, delivering talks on Diversity and the power of High-Performing DevOps Teams. Ricardo brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him to the meetup, not just on tech, but how to best enable technologists.

TALK No.3: DevOps' Dirty Little Secret with Neil Douek of Fujitsu

Through extrapolation, this talk recognises how the evolution of DevOps, SRE and Platform Engineering have produced amazing products, solutions, and outcomes. Our landscape now comprises a mammoth array of tools, languages, standards, and frameworks. Assuming the contents of our toolbox continue to inflate at similar rates, will this impact our ability to deliver? Will entropy compound inertia? Will we be overwhelmed by complexity? In this talk we'll examine how we could reduce inertia, cognitive strain, and complexity to succeed in the age of AI.

Neil is an experienced technologist with a deep passion for engineering, automation, and AI. He is a major contributor to digital transformation, DevOps and Platform Engineering, initiatives across various sectors, including finance and healthcare. His recent keynote at the National DevOps Conference, focused on the evolution of engineering, and the role of AI and hyper-automation. He is currently a Product Owner within a consulting and transformation division of Fujitsu We can’t wait to hear from our inspiring speakers and see you all there, it’s going to be a great night!
