About us

We are a group of enthusiasts of cloud-native solutions from Tallinn (we also have one group in Prague,CZ), and we believe there are more of us out there! We want to meet you all.
Let's build a strong, cloud-native community to share experiences, learn from one another and talk about our successes and fuck-ups. Let's get to know each other in an informal space. Our talks will always be on point. No basic jibber jabber.
Our meetup is for techies, dev/DevOps people, and all who are interested in any cloud-native related stuff (e.g. Kubernetes, Prometheus, linkerd, gRPC, help, envoy, etc.) and have some practical experience or just want to learn something new.
The meetup is built/made by developers for developers, by cloud engineers for cloud engineers. No advertising, no headhunting! We don’t want to promote concrete technologies or products just because they are trending. We just want to meet in a small “family circle” and discuss interesting stuff.

    0️⃣ Intro

Štěpán Kaiser, meetup co-organizer and idea author, will share updates on our meetup group.

1️⃣ AWS quotas usage monitoring without CloudWatch

Nicolai Antiferov, Site Reliability Engineer at Bolt

Any service in AWS has quotas and it's not great to hit them accidentally, especially during the incident in the middle of the night.
That's why it's important to monitor quotas and their usage and increase them beforehand.
AWS default solution is CloudWatch. But what if your monitoring stack is built on top of Prometheus and you don't particularly like CloudWatch?

2️⃣ Building security and auto remediation in AWS (and beyond)

Andoni Alonso Fernández, Cloud Security Engineer & AWS Community Builder

Details for this session are being finalized. Description coming soon.

3️⃣ FinOps 2.0: Scaling AWS Infrastructure (Without Scaling Your Bill)

Jose Ernesto Suarez, CEO at Glassity

Details for this session are being finalized. Description coming soon.
