State of the Cloudy Union

As a part of our January tradition, we will have a special guest to talk about the Cloud State of the Union, covering all things that will prove to be impactful with cloud and cloud technologies this year!

Cloud State of the Union

Speaker: Michael Coté (http://cote.io) (@cote), analyst with 451 Research. Michael gave the very first Austin Cloud User Group talk when we started back in August of 2010. As an analyst he has a lot of insight into what's really moving in the cloud space and what's not. He'll fill us in on what's going on and what's not and where 'the cloud' and related technologies sit in the real business-space out there!

New Bonus Speaker: Dave Nielsen (@davenielsen), consultant with Altoros and co-founder of CloudCamp will be joining us as well, to give his thoughts on the state of things! He's in from the coast to do a workshop, we're happy to have him.

Group Business

Afterwards we will discuss group organization an direction in the new year. Want to be an organizer? Want CloudAustin to do something different or more specific? This is the time to discuss (warning, we don't have some kind of staffing or money pool so if you want us to do something like livestream all the meetings, we'll be looking back at you to volunteer to help with it!). We have plenty of room for people who want to be a speaker wrangler, a sponsor wrangler, and otherwise be more proactive about making CloudAustin great!
