Serverless functions are more like a black box. You only have control of a very few things and it surely is not the most transparent of environments, making it highly important to understand what happens inside a function to improve its performance and efficiency.
This hands-on workshop will walk you through a simple serverless application and understand how and why logging, debugging, maintainability, traceability and monitoring becomes an integral part of serverless app development by using X-Ray and other AWS services.
Prerequisites:
- AWS account with CLI configured and installed
- Basic understanding of AWS cloud and lambda in general
- Basic understanding of Python
1:00 pm - 1:15 pm - Quiz
Winner of this quiz will receive a "Serverless Programming Cookbook: Practical solutions to building serverless applications using Java and AWS" book authored by Heartin Kanikathottu (https://www.linkedin.com/in/heartin/) personally from him!
