From Webpack to Web APIs - An Evolution of Web Standards

CloudRI is restarting in November at the RI Foundation!

We are kicking off w/ a presentation on the evolution of Web Standards. Webpack was magical, you could import everything, but standards have emerged and embracing them simplifies your stack, enables you to do more and spend less time learning bespoke framework methodologies.
Owen will present a few of the Web Standards and how we can evolved webpack imports to standard APIs across the full-stack - in the browser and on the server.

Directions to park

• From I-95 North or South, take Exit 37B (downtown/Memorial Boulevard exit).
• At the end of the exit (first traffic light), continue straight onto Memorial Boulevard.
• Parking is available in the lot behind our building.
• Make a right at the second light after you exit the highway on Exchange Street (Cookson Place) to enter the lot.
• Bring your parking slip in to the meeting for validation.
• Validated parking is also available at Union Station Garage at 5 Memorial Blvd.
• Providence and street parking may also be available.
• After you park in the lot or garage follow the stairs near Union Station Brewery up from the plaza to the front of the building.
• Turn left at the top of the stairs to enter our building at 40 Exchange Terrace.
• It is the former train station, featuring a large clock on the front of the building.
