What we’re about
Club CONNECT is a PRIVATE social club for members of the LGBT communities, their friends, family and supporters to gather and connect. We offer a game room with classic styled video games (FREE, not coin operated. $2 for a daily play pass), a pool table, a coffee bar (hot and cold drinks, juices, snacks, etc) and a comfortable lounge area. If the community responds and supports what we are doing, we plan to move to a much larger space and expand our operation!
We are currently looking for a suitable location in Birmingham AL. We will announce as soon as we have done so and established an opening date. We set up in Huntsville, but then decided it was best we move our operation to Birmingham. Our website has photos and videos of our space in Huntsville, to give you an idea of what our Birmingham space will look like!
NOTE: I had created a Meet Up about this project some time back, but decided to delete it as I was discouraged and decided it just wasn't even worth thinking about doing. However, some folks came to church who promised to help me with the project, so I decided to act upon my concept, using our church space, which we already had. What we have now is just a miniature version (or at least, smaller) version of what we hope to ultimately do. Depending upon the community's response to this location, we will look into future expansion and development.
