Are you aged over 50, young at heart, living in the Canterbury and surrounding areas? Are you looking to make friends and open doors to new social experiences?
We offer a warm welcome to members who wish to create memories and social connections and offer two membership levels.
Our Standard Membership invites you to RSVP for our local events like walks, talks, coffee mornings, lunches, live music and regular theatre evenings at The Marlowe.
Our Gold Membership opens doors to our more exclusive events such as London shows
and restaurants. There will be day trips to Ascot, Windsor, Epsom Races, Hampton Court and further afield to Le Touquet, Bruges and various Christmas markets. Our gold members enjoy the comfort of coach travel from local pick up points for most of the gold membership events. Also included is access to all standard membership events.
Our standard annual membership is £12 a year. Our gold annual membership is £24 a year. These memberships equates to only £1 or £2 monthly to enjoy the opportunity to fulfil your social dreams.
Our current members will automatically have standard membership, if your membership is paid up to date. If current members are looking to upgrade to gold membership email Liz to register your interest.
New members - We are no longer a click and join Meetup group and welcome all prospective members to RSVP for our monthly 'Get 2 Know You' event.
RSVP's - If you RSVP for an event and are unable to attend please change your RSVP to not going in a timely manner. We see this as basic good manners for the hosts, the venues and our other members waiting to join the event. If you RSVP for an event do turn your notifications on to respond to the event hosts messages.
Event payments - The event host decides the due date for ticketed events. If you have not paid by the due date, then the event host can move you to not going and invite another member. Ticketed events require the 'event name' as the payment reference + Bank account names need to match your Meetup name to confirm your payment. This meet up group and its organisers are not responsible for any refunds. It is your responsibility to find a replacement member if you are unable to attend.
To remain a member we ask that you RSVP for a minimum of one event in a three month period. Please note - there are no refunds if you are removed for being non active, or 3 no shows or challenging behaviour at events.
We will refund ticketed events if the host has cancelled and a replacement host is unavailable. For our 'Ticket and Travel events, in the Gold membership, the coach company will become your host in the unlikely event that all organisers are unable to host.
