Join us for a special photography meetup with the Cluj-Napoca Photography as a Hobby Meetup Group, inspired by the spirit of Earth Hour — a global moment that encourages us to give the planet time and space to breathe.
While Earth Hour officially happens later in the evening, this event invites us to begin earlier, by slowing down and becoming more aware of the world around us. Instead of focusing on turning off the lights, we will explore what it means to reduce the noise — visually and mentally — and to notice what is often overlooked in the rhythm of the city.
As we walk through central Cluj-Napoca, we’ll approach photography with a simple but intentional constraint:
one light / one subject / one story.
Using natural light, soft evening tones, or a single light source, we’ll focus on clarity, atmosphere, and presence. This approach encourages us to create space in our images — just as Earth Hour encourages us to create space for the planet — by simplifying what we see and how we capture it.
This is a chance to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts, exchange ideas, and explore a more mindful way of photographing. Together, we’ll document quiet moments, subtle details, and the feeling of a city that, even briefly, slows down.
