Virtual Beers and future plans for RoPython-Cluj

This month I have received multiple emails from meetup.com regarding the deletion of this group.

"Hi Florin Badita,

Nobody has stepped up yet to become the new Organizer of RoPython-Cluj. There are only 7 days left before the group is shut down and removed from Meetup.com forever.

As the new Organizer you can lead RoPython-Cluj, guide its direction, its events, and who's involved, change the look, the colors, and the name of the group!
You and your members can discuss the future of the Meetup group and together, you can decide what's next for your community."

I have decided to pay $35 for 6 months to see if it is still interested in this group and if we can revitalize and use this community to further promote Python and help onboard new Python users in offline and online meetups.

The aim of the video call is to get to know each other and have an open discussion about the future of this group. I currently live most of the time in Arad, and I just become a parent, so it will be harder to participate in all of the offline events that will happen in Cluj. But most of you in this group still live in Cluj and maybe you want to be active in the organizing part :)

Some of my suggestions

• Try to use GitHub more, so when we are doing a meetup and we do some python scripts to be able to provide a GitHub repo either before the meeting or after for future persons interested in that specific topic.
  Something like this: https://github.com/RoPython/sprints
• Create an alternative medium for talking in between meetups, either Slack (free but limited to 10000 messages history), discord (currently free), etc.
• Try hybrid offline/online events
