Monique Sherrett, Boxcar Marketing: Monique Sherrett is founder of Boxcar Marketing, a digital marketing agency. Former internet marketing manager of Raincoast Books, she spearheaded major online marketing campaigns, including promotion of Harry Potter and the creation of the first Canadian-publisher podcast and blog. Monique has developed websites and online community strategies for several Canadian publishers and trade associations. She is an adjunct professor at SFU, a BookCamp Vancouver organizer, and has practical expertise in web design, email newsletters, search marketing (PPC and SEO), online media relations, and writing for the web. She will be telling us how to use custom reports in Google Analytics to inform marketing decisions.

Hugh McGuire, PressBooks: Hugh McGuire has been exploring new book publishing models since founding LibriVox.org — the most prolific audiobook publisher in the world — in 2005. His current focus is PressBooks, a simple but powerful online book production tool, and he's also keeping an eye on another of his projects, Iambik Audiobooks – a commercial version of LibriVox. Since getting the start-up bug in 2006, he's had adventures with other projects including Book Oven (PressBooks’ predecessor), Bite-Size Edits (a mass collaborative editing tool, RIP), Collectik (a podcast aggregator, RIP), and earideas (a curated site filled with thoughtful audio from around the world, RIP), and have organized or helped organize BookCamps in Toronto, New York, Melbourne and Montreal. He is the co-editor with Brian O’Leary of Book: A Futurist’s Manifesto (O’Reilly), a collection of essays about the future of publishing, and a member of the Media Hacks podcast team.

Craig Riggs, Canadian Bookshelf: Craig Riggs is a partner in the consulting firm Turner-Riggs Workspace. Previously the New Markets Manager for Harbour Publishing, he led the marketing team for the Encyclopedia of British Columbia, a unique reference published in print and electronic editions and one of the largest publishing projects ever undertaken in Western Canada. The author of three national studies on the Canadian publishing industry, Craig holds a Masters in Publishing and is an adjunct professor at Simon Fraser University. He is currently leading the development of Canadian Bookshelf, an online discovery platform for Canadian books.
