Playing with Operators

Level: Beginner

This session provides an introduction to the Operator pattern in Kubernetes and what benefits they provide by utilizing the building blocks of Kubernetes. Operators received broad adoption since they were introduced by CoreOS in 2016 and became a popular pattern to simplify deploying stateful applications with complex operational needs.

As part of the session, the attendees are introduced to the various SDKs and toolkits available today to build operators, and a demo of building a simple operator using the Operator SDK is part of the session.
