TALK #2: K3s and K8s in Air-Gapped Environments
The use of microservice architectures in air-gapped environments that are completely isolated from the internet is extremely challenging due to the lack of direct access to container images and updates. K3s, a resource-saving and lightweight Kubernetes distribution, offers a flexible solution for this. With the ability to use local registries and efficient update mechanisms, K3s makes it much easier to deploy and manage microservices in isolated networks.

Michael Sowka is a multi-skilled software developer with a passion for building innovative solutions. He has worked with clients like EnBW, setting up and maintaining cloud infrastructure, designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, and automating deployment processes.
