Early Spring Wildflower Hike, near Canastota

Details
On a slow walk of approximately 3 miles round trip along the old rail bed of the Lehigh Valley Railroad, we hope to see an array of beautiful early spring wildflowers including hepatica, trillium and Dutchman's breeches. Join us to see which others we spot. Bring ID books and apps as you wish in addition to water. Of course, dress for the weather: the trail may be muddy. Coordinator and leader: Karen Campbell (k2c1010@gmail.com, 315-751-5881) We will meet at the Oxbow Rd. parking area in Canastota. It is about .8 miles south of Rt. 5 (on the right --west side of road -- just past St. Agatha Cemetery) to begin our hike at 1:00 p.m. The parking lot is not currently marked, but it is near a mailbox at 7604 Oxbow Rd. Parking is limited and can be muddy. Carpooling is suggested.
