Wildflower Hike at Nelson Swamp

Sun. May 17 Wildflower Hike at Nelson Swamp co-sponsored by CNY NCTA Chapter and ADK-Onondaga. (Easy) Coordinator: Karen Campbell (315-751-5881) and Kathy Disque. In the past we have seen abundant varieties of wildflowers on this stretch of trail, including the one-flowered Cancer Root. Bring your interest, expertise, wildflower apps and books to see what we can identify. Hiking distance is 2 + miles, approximately 2 hours. Meeting time and place: 10:00 a.m., parking lot at Nelson Swamp Unique Area trailhead on Constine Bridge Rd, Cazenovia (1/2 mile south of intersection of Ballina Rd. and Stone Quarry Rd.) Qualifies for NCTA Hike 100 Challenge.
