So often we live somewhere and never really visit our history sites.
Please join us as we celebrate the Erie Canal's 200th anniversary by visiting the Baldwinsville lock 24. After the tour, we can find a lunch spot maybe along the river.
Saturday, July 19 @ 10:30 AM - Baldwinsville Lock E24 Infrastructure Tour
This walking tour will focus on the social history of Baldwinsville, infrastructure of the lock and the Erie Barge canal, as well as earlier attempts at improving the Seneca River for transportation. This tour will begin in the Baldwinsville Village Square AKA Baldwin Canal Park, located between the B'ville Diner and the Seneca River. This tour will include about a half-mile of walking. American Sign Language interpretation will be available on this tour.
This is a tour sponsored by the Erie Canal Museum. There is a requested donation of $12. Please see their web site for more information.
