Welcome to the CNY Wildcrafters Meetup Group! Join us to learn and share knowledge about primitive skills, wild foods, nature, and wild food foraging. Our group is dedicated to fostering a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about connecting with nature and exploring the bounties it has to offer. Whether you are a seasoned forager or just starting out, there is something for everyone in our diverse array of events, workshops, and gatherings. Let's come together to embrace our wild side and deepen our connection to the natural world around us.
This group was started and became successful about 15 years ago. At the time, I had small children and was unable to commit the time necessary to continue the group. We had great participation with a variety of topics including foraging, bow making, animal tracking and general survival skills. Now, in 2025, I think these skills are even more crucial than they were a decade ago. I hope to rekindle the enthusiasm we had then and to take things even further.
