About us
This group will be solely focused on education regarding structural and social norms, concerning real world issues that involve cultural narratives formed through patriarchal systems.
Now, I know that word might scare you and if it does I would say, take this opportunity to ask yourself why, and if you can recognize it's a bias that has been externally created to hinder you from exploring this topic, this is the place for you.
What does it mean to be normal?
If you are looking to break out of your shell and stop caring about what people think of you, but don’t know where to start, this could possibly be an aligned meet up for you.
Addressing the need for external validity in the wrong places will always have us wanting more. And when I say ‘wrong’ places I mean places that have been created to control.
Understanding the systemic structures that have created the beliefs that keep you where you are must be understood first in order to create acceptance of authenticity.
This is where we will dive deep into the realms of patriarchal norms, through the study of Angela Saini’s book the patriarchs, as well as other books in the future.
We will have open discussion concerning the chapters and social issues surrounding them.
If you are ready for a new paradigm... Come be a part of the revolution. <3
The book is available on Amazon and Audible.
Each meetup will have open discussion based on one chapter at a time.

'Destruction' - Chapter Four
·OnlineOnlineChapter 4 of The Patriarchs by Angela Saini, examines how early states and the rise of private property, wealth, and agriculture fostered patriarchy by reducing women to property and controlling their sexuality to ensure patrilineal inheritance. It highlights that the development of agricultural surplus allowed men to dominate resources, subsequently leading to the institutionalization of gender-based labor divisions, where women were confined to domestic, unpaid roles.
What do we think?
This will be a time to address any and all connections, assessments, or critiques made in relation to current, past or future events that have happened or are happening in real time in regard to this chapter.
This will be OPEN DISCUSSION - THE CHAPTER IS THE ONLY FOCUS!
The only structure will be in that I will create prompt questions to keep the flow of the meet up going. I will also in the second half create break out rooms with specific related topics. This will be like a 'book club' style meet up, but with the added element of current social issue discussion - so please come prepared having read or at least skimmed.
I will moderate for any and all comments made that aren't in line with what it means to nurture a psychologically safe environment. Please be kind and respectful in your language.
