Father's Day and Family Ties: Navigating Distance, Hope, and Healing
Details
For many gay fathers, Father’s Day (June 21, 2026) can bring a mix of emotions. Pride. Gratitude. Love. But also sadness, distance, unresolved pain, or longing for relationships with our children that feel strained, broken, or unfinished. Many of us gave our hearts, time, and years to raising our families. Then later in life, choosing authenticity sometimes came with a cost we never expected. Some fathers are rebuilding trust. Some are grieving years of silence. Some are learning to accept what they cannot control. Others have found healing and wisdom through the journey.
This special discussion is a safe, confidential, and supportive space for gay and bi fathers to come together and talk honestly about fatherhood, estrangement, reconciliation, hope, and how to face Father’s Day with strength and self-respect. Whether you are in the middle of the struggle, carrying quiet heartbreak, or have come through the other side with lessons to share, your presence matters. Your story may help someone else feel less alone. Together we’ll discuss realities, coping strategies, healing paths, and the truth that being a father does not disappear because relationships are complicated.
You do not need to have the answers. You do not need to be “fixed.” You only need to come as you are.
All gay fathers are welcome. Confidentiality, compassion, and brotherhood will guide the conversation. Because sometimes the greatest gift on Father’s Day is being understood.
