What we’re about
This group is for those who want to help improve living conditions for coastal wildlife. We meet on the First Wednesday of every month to discuss areas needing our assistance and logistics for upcoming cleanups. For the cleanups themselves, most areas can only be reached by boat. If you have a boat and want to participate, we welcome you with open arms especially if you are able to take along a few non-boat owners on each trip. If you love wildlife and want to make a real difference and do not own a boat, we will do everything we can to find you a seat on one of our volunteer boats. You should be fit enough to climb in and out of a beached boat and drag a bag of trash and debris down a rural coastline.
We have a special need for volunteers who are willing to do daily social media volunteer work. A good example would be joining several Facebook environmental groups and each day posting a different page from our web site. We also need volunteers with experience in NATIONAL public and media relations.
Our regular volunteers never confirm, they just attend. On most First Wednesdays we have at least 30-40 attendees.
