Marsh Clean Up

Marsh Cleanup
Saturday, March 14, 2026
Low tide is 11:27 am
This is a rain-or-shine event, so watch the forecast and dress accordingly for a day out on the water.
Removing debris from tidal marshes supports wildlife habitat improvement. Plastics, treated wood, tires, and a variety of foams and
trash float into the tidal marsh and end up hidden from view well beyond the waterline.
Volunteers are needed to help remove this debris and return the area to its natural, pristine state.
Meet at the Remley Point boat ramp at 10 am to get signed in and ready to load boats. Expect to get wet and muddy while making a big impact on water quality in Charleston Harbor!
It is best to wear old sneakers instead of mud boots or rain boots. Snacks and beverages are provided at the end, along with a free raffle event.
Prizes will be awarded for the most interesting/unique item found…so hold onto these “gems” until the end and maybe win a prize.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
