South Slough Estuary Hike & Picnic Lunch

Relatively easy hike, the trail(s) are over 2 miles, possibly 3 miles since we will probably walk the side trails too. To view the south slough website CLICK HERE. Bring a picnic lunch for yourself, there are picnic tables there and we can all eat lunch after the hike. The interpretative center is closed on Sundays, but all trails are open. The South Slough Reserve encompasses a mixture of open water channels, tidal and freshwater wetlands, riparian areas and forested uplands.

There are 11 trails of various lengths, inclines, and terrains around South Slough Reserve. Each trail offers a different perspective of the coastal wetlands, forests, and rivers that make up South Slough Reserve.
