DQ & Full Moon Beach Party

Let's meet for an awesome end of summer coastal evening on Thursday, August 27th! We will kick off the last Thursday night of summer at the Dairy Queen in Lewes for some classic treats and then head over to Savannah Beach for a sunset gathering and a party under the Sturgeon moon. This is a show up for whatever part of the evening works for you night!

The Plan:
6:30 PM Ice Cream Social: Meet at the Lewes Dairy Queen on Savannah Rd to grab Blizzards, burgers, or cones. This DQ is an iconic staple of the area and the oldest DQ in DE!

7:30 PM Sunset Gathering: Head across to Savannah Beach to set up and watch the sunset over the Delaware Bay.

8:30 PM Full Moon Party: Stick around as the Sturgeon moon rises over the water. It’s the perfect spot to relax on the sand and enjoy the company of others while listening to the gentle waves. We will have some glow in the dark games and, tha is to Laurie for getting a permit we will have a fire to sit around and make smores! Smores ingredients will be provided!

What to Bring:
Cash/Card for Dairy Queen treats and metered beach parking ($3/hr until 8:00 PM)
Beach chairs or blankets
Sweatshirt or light jacket (It gets breezy by the bay at night!)
Bug spray
Binocular/telescope for stargazing
Solar light/lantern
Musical instrument if you are willing to entertain us!
Munchies to share
Beverage for yourself
Flashlight for packing up after dark

Glass containers
Alcohol
Dogs
