A Multi-Sport Social: Walk, Bike, Sip & Soccer

Join us for a fun active meetup with your choice of activity! Or meet us after for the PARTY!
Choose from a gentle 3.5 mile walk or a scenic 7.5 mile bike ride. Both should take about an hour and we have them starting and finishing at the same spot. Once we are all packed up, we will move down the road to the Hocker's Family Restaurant for a watch party and happy hour.
Please arrive by 12:45 so we can get started by 1:00! We will meet in the Fresh Pond Trailhead parking lot at the end of Hickman Road. On the map below, it’s at the bottom of the upper loop.
Walkers: If you choose to walk, you will take the upper red loop, an easy 3.5-mile loop. It features flat terrain, scenic views of Beach Cove and the Indian River Bay, and a mix of young forests and open meadows. You can spot box turtles, deer, and various coastal birds, alongside native prickly pear cacti. The surface is a mix of crushed stone, packed dirt, grass, and soft sand. The trail has approximate 50% shade tree covering so it should be quite enjoyable.
Bikers: For those that choose to bike, you will go down around the Salt Pond Golf Club Loop, a 7.5 mile ride. This has no major traffic or busy highway biking, just a trail or a 15 mph neighborhood street. We will plan for a couple of stops.
We will have someone at the front and back of each group to make sure no one goes missing!
2:00-2:30 Regroup, pack up, and drive 1 mile to Hockers Family Restauarant located at 30244 Cedar Neck Rd.
2:30 Game time and Happy Hour at the bar at Hockers! The U.S. Women's National Team plays Spain at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. This should be an amazing game! Team USA is the Reigning Olympic champion and Spain is the current World Cup champion!
