Welcome to Coasters!
Coasters is a social group for over-50s – whether you are partnered or single – living in the Geelong, Surf Coast or the Bellarine Peninsula. Please note: Coasters is not a dating site.

We offer a wide variety of events and activities, both indoors and outdoors, suitable to all interests! Our goal is to create memorable experiences and have great conversations in a respectful, friendly and safe environment.

Whether you're new to the area and keen to explore or a long-time local looking to expand your social circle – you’re warmly welcome!

Membership & Participation Policies
Before joining, renewing membership, or participating in any Coasters event, you are obliged to acknowledge and accept the following.
✓ Membership Fee: $10 annually, payable in July. A notice will be posted when due. Payment is by bank transfer to Neville Denton Bank: People’s Choice CU BSB: 805 050 Account: 102 250 820
✓ Profile Picture: For safety and recognition purposes, we require all members to upload and maintain a current, clear headshot photo at all times.
✓ Event Attendance: RSVP only if you genuinely plan to attend. If your plans change, update your RSVP asap or at least 24 hours' notice in advance, to allow others a chance to join. If you’re on a waitlist, it’s your responsibility to monitor RSVP changes until the date of the event or opt to 'Leave Waitlist'.
✓ Event Payments: Some events may require a deposit or full payment to secure your spot. Details will be provided in the individual event listing.
✓ Personal Responsibility: Members attend events at their own risk and are expected to act in a way that does not cause harm to themselves or others.
✓ Behaviour & Conduct: All members must maintain socially acceptable behaviour. Concerns will be handled confidentially and in accordance Meetup’s Policies and Community Guidelines
✓ Carpooling: If you arrange or accept a lift, you are expected to contribute fairly towards fuel and vehicle running costs.
✓ Guests: Members may bring guests, but are fully responsible for ensuring they follow all Coasters Policies and behave respectfully.

Our organisers and hosts are volunteers who generously give their time to create and coordinate events. Please be respectful of their efforts, especially when RSVPing to events.
