Kawartha Land Trust hike, Mount Julian/Viamede

Details
In remembrance of absent companions, we go back to the Kawartha Land Trust trails, at Mount Julian/Viamede.
These trails are wonderful to hike on, they are mostly double track trails, that can be a little “moist” in a few short sections (no more than 150 feet). So, we recommend hiking boots, till the ground firms, up with frost/snow.
There is a very, very good chance that those at the front of the hiking group will see deer along the trail. (It pays to set the pace, you know).
The forest will be past its “peak” fall colours, but still beautiful to see. Freshly fallen leaves are always a pleasure to walk though, as whatever the trees lack for colour, the fallen leaves more than make up for.
Parking is free.
We meet at the public dock at Mount Julian.
