Meet and Greet!

The purpose of this initial event is to have a ‘meet and greet’, choose our first book and to decide other logistical stuff.

I have a bunch of books in mind - but if there is something you have in mind, or are dying to read, please make suggestions! I think I might make up a list with maybe a quick synopsis and general themes.

I am very excited! Just a little about me, I started my Bachelor’s degree (an eternity ago lol) as an English major. I randomly changed majors halfway through, but needless to say I absolutely love reading and love to talk about what I read.

For a long time I let ‘life’ get in the way and didn’t make time for reading. But I am making it more of a priority now and I read for pleasure. I gravitate towards books that may be seen as more lighthearted in nature but I would argue these books can and do cover important themes.

I have never been a part of a book club, but always wanted to, and have signed up for a bunch here on Meet up… and even purchased the books! But have not really found any that are covering what I like. And I thought - reading is my joy why am I trying to make myself read something I don’t want to? So that’s where this came from and I am so happy to get any response really! Lol Anyways, can’t wait to see everyone! Feel free to message w any questions or anything else! ☺️
