What we're about

CocoaCoder.org’s mission to educate, illuminate and assist iPhone and Mac application developers. Whether you are new to Swift, Cocoa, and Cocoa Touch programming or a guru, our focus is to help you in your efforts. And we do this for the low, low price of...$0.00. That’s a pretty good deal.

But this isn't just about iOS, Mac, the Watch, or Cocoa. We love the Objective-C programming language, because it encourages the programmer to be creative, to find his or her own voice, unlike many other programming languages. We also love Swift, Apple's new language, which makes our code safer and more concise.

If you’re interested in learning more about CocoaCoder, just check out our calendar and come to one of our meetings. You can also send an email and we’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

Monthly Meeting Format:

WWDC Preview: Marzipan (iOS on the Mac) and Dark Mode on iOS

Spicewood Springs Library

Last year at WWDC, we got a preview of Marzipan, where iOS apps can be run semi-natively on the Mac. We're supposed to get a full-blown version of that this year. That has implications, since Mac apps are now expected to support Dark Mode, so Marzipan apps should support Dark Mode, which means there's a decent chance Dark Mode will be coming to iOS. So join us, and let's talk about that, as well as any other WWDC speculation you might have heard.
