"Google Firebase is a mobile, server-side platform that helps developers quickly develop high-quality apps, and allows companies to grow their user base and earn more money. Firebase provides a comprehensive set of APIs for iOS, Android and web developers.

Firebase is ideal for mobile startups who want a low cost way to quickly develop and market-validate an app. It can also find a home with established companies that want to quickly turn mobile apps for special events like promotional marketing campaigns.

Richard Martin, a Silicon Valley veteran who has worked at Apple, Cisco and Broadcom, will deliver a detailed presentation on how he used Google Firebase as the backend for his latest iOS app.

Developers will learn how to use Firebase as the backend for their apps. Mobile startups will learn how to leverage this technology to solve customer problems instead of devoting their precious resources building a complex infrastructure for their app."

Parse-Server is the open source incarnation of the defunct Parse.com, written in javascript.

With Parse you can get started in minutes and enjoy a lightweight, powerful and secure backend.

Parse, one of the best opensource backend infrastructures, recently gained real-time capabilities and is widely supported by the community.

The open source Parse-Server has rapidly become one of the most popular projects on Github with more than 11000 stars and 100+ unique contributions.

Florent Vilmart has been using Parse since it's early beginnings and is the first official maintainer of the project outside of Facebook/Parse; not to mention, he's also the most prolific contributor.

During this talk, Florent will get through the basics of using Parse-Server for local development, he will demonstrate its real-time capabilities, as well as go through a deployment to a popular PaaS. (You'll get to choose where we gonna deploy! Google, AWS, Heroku...)
