CocoaHeads Auckland in collaboration with GDG Auckland, iOS Auckland and Auckland Android, is excited to announce the first of a series of events from Westpac, who are currently undergoing a technology transformation in rebuilding their mobile app using native iOS and Android frameworks backed by a shared Kotlin Multiplatform foundation.

The Westpac Leadership team will kick things off by providing an overview of Westpac and their current engineering roadmap and opportunities.

The Westpac mobile team will then talk about Moktor, an in-house developed mocking framework. Written in Kotlin Multiplatform, it can be run on a developer's local machine, or embedded into the Android or iOS app itself. These mocks can be used for automation tests or day-to-day development.

Annie Vella is Westpac’s first Distinguished Engineer and a lifelong computer enthusiast with two decades of experience in software engineering and technical leadership. She enjoys designing resilient systems, unearthing opportunities across the organization, and driving process improvements while emphasizing quality from the outset.

Hayden Do is a Lead iOS Engineer with an interest in user experience design. He has worked with many teams across a number of industries building unique mobile app experiences.

Josh Gross is a Lead Android Engineer with 7 years of experience in mobile development and a background in front-end web development before that. He's worked on large complex projects with multiple teams and excels at mentoring and leadership.
