Human Trafficking Awareness & Prevention Committee
Women’s Club of Coconut Grove
The Human Trafficking Awareness & Prevention Committee is a subcommittee of the Women’s Club of Coconut Grove dedicated to supporting survivors and educating the community. We provide victims of human trafficking with immediate assistance after rescue, including clothing, toiletries, and other essential items, to help restore dignity and stability.
We collaborate closely with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and local charities to ensure survivors receive resources, guidance, and continued care. To help empower victims, we also offer self-defense workshops and supportive programs that promote healing and self-confidence.
In addition to direct aid, our committee hosts educational forums and awareness events to inform the public about how human trafficking occurs, the warning signs, and how individuals can help prevent it. Through compassion, advocacy, and community partnerships, we strive to protect the vulnerable, support survivors, and inspire action against human trafficking
