The purpose of this talk is to go through a few examples of how cloud infrastructure can be defined and deployed using open source tools and high-level programming languages such as Python or TypeScript. This opens up the possibilities to allow teams with good software engineering skills to join forces in defining the usage of the public cloud infrastructure using familiar best practices. Two popular such infrastructure as code tools - AWS CDK and Pulumi will be discussed.
