Building on the DevX talk previously by Lars Kruse, where we explored "Containerizing the Developer Experience", we're now taking it a step further by diving into a real-life client project.
In this tech talk, we'll take you behind the scenes of an ongoing real-life client project, where our focus is on elevating the Developer Experience (DevX) at every step of the transformation.
We'll share our current thoughts, the challenges we're facing, and the complexities we're navigating as we leverage modern architectural patterns like MVC, implement DevOps strategies, and utilize tools like DevContainers, and everything in between. This session will offer a unique glimpse into how we're actively applying DevX principles to solve real-world problems, evolving the project from its current state to a robust, maintainable, and future-proof deployment. Join us for an inside look at this work in progress, where DevX is the cornerstone of our approach.

To test or not to test, "How" is the question!
Speaker: Pooyan Razian - Solutions Architect Consultant - Kodlot
Have you ever joined a project without test coverage and wanted to add a new feature or fix a bug? Then, you spent some time, committed the fix, and deployed. Amazing! Five minutes later, bam, ten more bugs! If you've experienced that, you're not alone! In this session, I will explain various types of testing, both for your application layer and infrastructure, and how they can help your tech staff understand what you have and reduce the risk of change. Then, we will dive into writing fast-enough isolated automated integration tests with the help of containers, without the need of spinning up a long-lasting shared test environment.
