Software is a meal best served with different architectural spices

Details
Every programmer deals with software architecture. Every day. All the time. Some knowingly, some unaware. Not one single architecture but a mixture of different ones, different styles, different patterns. Like ingredients in a meal.
Software architecture has gone a long way since its emergence in the 90's. In this talk we take you to a journey starting at the universal the 3-connected-boxes-train-station, passing through interesting places like the service-oriented-emirates, hexagonal-city, REST-ville, the kingdom-of-events, the metropolis-of-commands-and-queries and of course... the holy-land-of-microservices. In passing those places we eat the local dishes served there, we taste the spices, look at what makes each place unique but also how they are similar to each other.
When we finally return home, we make a nice soup. Or a stew if you like. It tastes good because we have learned to cook with different ingredients. Different styles.
The talk starts at 19:30, before you'll have the opportunity to grab a drink and connect with the other participants.
Afterwards food and drinks will be present, as well as plenty opportunities to connect with other participants.
Jan programmeert. Sinds 2001. A programmer's odyssey. Jan houdt van korte variabelen. En zinnen.
