About us

We're a relaxed group of developers who want to get better at contributing to open source projects. Whether you're completely new to open source or you've contributed a few times and want to level up, this is the place for us to learn together. We meet regularly to work through the practical stuff—finding projects that match your interests, understanding how to navigate a codebase, writing good pull requests, and dealing with code review feedback. No gatekeeping, no pretense. We're all figuring this out.

The format is pretty straightforward. We'll pick a project or topic to focus on each meeting, spend some time working through it together, and help each other out when we get stuck. Sometimes we'll pair program, sometimes we'll just work in parallel and jump in with questions. The goal is to make open source contribution feel less intimidating and more like something we can actually do. You'll meet other people working on similar projects, and honestly, it's just more fun to do this stuff with other people.

If you've ever wanted to contribute to open source but weren't sure where to start, or if you've been meaning to get more involved but kept procrastinating, come hang out with us. Bring your laptop, bring your questions, bring your half-finished pull requests. We're here to support each other and get some real work done.
