Control your data: Tools & tricks for improving outcomes with healthcare and AI
Details
Please join us for our next Code4Y’all The Woodlands Tacos & Code on June 16th at 7 PM! 🌮💻
Expanding on a prior Meetup on using AI to support personal health, this session will focus on why and how to save a secure, local copy of your health information.
In the US, personal health information like blood type, medications, diagnoses and family history are often scattered across different vendors and healthcare systems -- often leading to delays and medical errors. Getting your health data in one place can also make it easier to research health topics reliably using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
This session will review why it's important to access your digital medical records and other health data, common places that your data may be stored and how to save a local, secure backup so that you, your loved ones and healthcare practitioners can access it when it's most needed.
Expect to cover topics like:
- Identifying and understanding widely used healthcare data platforms and sources, like Epic's MyChart system.
- Overcoming obstacles and staying motivated while looking for and getting copies of your health data.
- Overview of native, consumer-facing applications on iOS (Apple iPhone, iPad) and Android (e.g. Samsung, Pixel) for securely storing important health information.
If you develop products, work with data, manage AI tools, or are simply trying to understand what “safe” and “responsible” mean while using AI to support health, this will be an actionable, high-value discussion.
You won’t want to miss this discussion, so don’t forget to RSVP!
