Hello everyone,
this October Chris Welcz will be our guest to introduce the coding agent pi. The event will be presented as a Show & Tell featuring live demos, a collaborative small extension project, and an open invitation for participants to share their knowledge.

His Abstract:
pi coding agent, your friendly neighbourhood pet
Oh no, not another coding agent? Aren't there enough of them already?
Pi has received some media attention because of OpenClaw, which uses pi as its foundation. In contrast to other solutions, pi focuses on minimalism, good AI-searchable documentation, and a very powerful extension system.

The goal here is to have an agent that truly belongs to you. You don't have to adapt to the agent's workflow; the agent adapts to yours. The whole thing is largely independent of the AI provider you use and very transparent about what is currently loaded. And unlike some other existing "solutions," it is completely free of AI-generated code slop.

Of course, there is one downside: much like configuring Neovim, you can waste a lot of time on it.
This session will feature a brief introduction to pi, including demos. We will try to write a small extension ourselves, and I will show you things that help me in my daily work with it. We will look at some already existing extensions, my guidelines and agent skills, and whatever else comes to mind!
Including foxes, sounds, and animated effects!

Since I am by no means an expert in AI-guided coding yet, I am, of course, happy to receive any suggestions from the audience!
We would like to thank our sponsor codecentric AG for providing the venue and refreshments!
