FAQ
What is a lightning talk? For our purposes, lightning talks are simply short talks. Talks will be limited to 5 minutes, and are encouraged to be technical in nature. (An introduction to a technical topic definitely counts!)

Do I have to talk? We'd love to get everyone involved and presenting. But, it's not a requirement for attendance.

What will I talk about? Any technical, or technology related, topic you want! If you need some inspiration we have a theme of "buzz words". Pick your favorite, or least favorite, buzz word and tell everyone about it. Use this as an opportunity to learn something new, or show off what you already know.

Do I need to have a talk prepared? No, we'll spend the first half of the event brainstorming/preparing, you can easily come up with a topic and talk during that time. If you do come prepared with a talk, you can help others brainstorm and prepare.

Do I need to bring a computer? We’d recommend you bring a laptop or other internet connected device to research, prepare and/or present your talk.

Are men invited? As with all Codecinella events, men are welcome to attend. But our focus is on encouraging women in tech to take leadership roles. As such, in the event that we run out of time slots, women speakers will be prioritized over men.
