For this month's meetup, we're changing the format slightly: our regular "break-out/workshops" segment will be replaced by a 1 hour presentation on "kafka-rx" by CJ's Mary Flagstad & Thomas Omans, followed by 5-minute lightning talks (plus Q&A).

kafka-rx (https://github.com/cjdev/kafka-rx) brings the reactive programming model to Apache Kafka (http://kafka.apache.org/), using the RxJava (https://github.com/ReactiveX/RxJava) library.
