What does "code craftsmanship" mean to you?

Anybody can write code. It's another thing entirely to be a craftsman. A craftsman must sharpen his tools regularly to deliver a quality product. My tools are my knowledge, experience and intellect and as a code craftsman, I need to keep these sharp at all times.

How did you hear about us?

I picked the name.

What technologies are you interested in?

Hadoop, HBase, Scala, Clojure, Java

What areas of expertise you are willing to share?

All if it :) I was doing big data before there was big data, and I'd love to share the lessons I've learned over the years.

I'm a team lead at CJ. My team and I find information in the data. I like to gaze wistfully at glaciers, and am re-discovering the surfboard.
