What we’re about
The intention of this monthly meetup is to bring together software engineers to study the best practices, new technologies and alternative approaches to help us improve our skills and take back new knowledge to our companies and teams.
Each event is focused around a specific problem, with input coming from all participants. By trying new ways of delivering a solution, combined with that which has worked before, we all gain insight into our work. This work centers around six sessions of one hour (which rushes past) to master a specific problem.
On some days, we approach this as a hackathon to build a solution to a problem, whilst on others we simply write small tests and examples of the subject whilst discussing things in groups. The day belongs to the people attending and the direction may change to ensure that everyone learns and grows.
Generally, its great fun and a chance to meet people from outside your own company.
